小さな草花のための、
ヌイグルミのような壺。

ツボグルミは道端に咲く小さな草花を愛でるための壺です。花屋には並ぶことのない、風に揺られる野花がよく似合います。

オディロン・ルドンの作品に『「起源」II. おそらく花の中に最初の視覚が試みられた』という作品があります。草花を愛でる行為は人類が初めて三大欲求から解き放たれ文化を獲得した行為ではなかったでしょうか。 はるか昔、人は自然の機微に感動し、移ろいの一瞬に五感を研ぎ澄ませてきました。風に揺られる草花を美しいと思う。そしてそれを家族と共有する。あるいは愛する誰かにプレゼントする。私たちは草花を愛でる行為の中に初源的な進化とプリミティブな人間の美的喜びを感じます。

花を摘み愛でること、それは好奇心を持って自然を見つめ感性と対話し、同時に自分の置かれた身近な環境を把握して行く行為です。日常生活の中に「花を摘む」と言う目的意識を持つことで世界は違った物に見えて来るかもしれません。小さな美との出会いに備え、どこへでも持ち運べるヌイグルミのような壺を作りました。

It is best suited to modest blooms that never appear in flower shops—flowers that sway quietly in the wind. There is a work by Odilon Redon titled “Origins II: Probably the First Vision Attempted in Flowers.” Perhaps the act of appreciating flowers was one of the first moments when humans stepped beyond basic needs and began to cultivate culture. Long ago, people were moved by the subtle nuances of nature, sharpening their senses to fleeting moments of change. To find beauty in a flower moving with the wind. To share it with family, or offer it to someone dear. In these gestures, we sense both a primordial evolution and a primitive aesthetic joy inherent to being human. To pick a flower and appreciate it— this is an act of observing nature with curiosity, of entering into dialogue with one’s own sensibility, and at the same time, of becoming aware of the environment that surrounds us. By carrying the intention to “pick a flower” into everyday life, the world itself may begin to look different. Prepared for these encounters with small beauty, we created a plush-like vessel that can be carried anywhere.
